Amanda Basson
Co-Founder · STRATEGY & COMMERCIALAmanda is a strategy and commercial professional with experience across project management, energy infrastructure, and risk mitigation in real estate and energy sectors. She specialises in delivering commercially viable, low-carbon infrastructure across the full project lifecycle.
She holds an MSc in Real Estate (Sustainability) and brings deep expertise in district heat/energy networks and decarbonisation strategy. Her experience includes direct engagement with regulators and managing infrastructure assets exceeding £80 million.
Amanda is driven by a commitment to equitable sustainable development, with a focus on addressing energy poverty in underserved regions. She is an Associate Member of the Energy Institute and part of its Select Young Professionals Network.
Stefanie Garises
Co-Founder · Data & Digital TransformationStefanie is a data and digital transformation leader as well as a strategic adviser with experience across financial services, Big Four consulting and multinational environments. She specialises in data and AI governance, enterprise risk, and designing frameworks that connect strategy to execution.
She holds a BScH in Computer Science (Software Development), the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner certification, and is an alumna of the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship. She is also a member of the WEF Global Shapers Windhoek Hub.
Stefanie co-founded SYNTERRA to apply her expertise at the intersection of technology, governance, and organisational change. Her work is driven by a commitment to building stronger, more inclusive solutions to problems that naturally occur in underserved regions.
